The play, "The Blessed"

On Sunday, November 21, HASO took in a little theatre action, and went to see the play entitled "The Blessed." It revolves around the era of the Trojan War and the events surrounding the Iliad. The companion play to "The Blessed" was "The Cursed" which played the previous night.

Greek dancing on campus

On Monday, November 15, the UCLA Ballroom Dance Club/International Folk Dance Club featured Greek dancing. Yes, authentic Greek dance, the kind you see at Greek weddings and such. No experience was needed, as people came to learn a few steps and cut the rug, so to speak.

The Apex of Glory

The Fedeation of Hellenic American Societies of Southern California (which HASO is a proud part of) presented "Mesouranima" ("Apex of Glory") The play, which is a docudrama celebrated the legendary "OXI" Day. It was a community event held at the Saint Sophia Community Hall with two performances on Thursday, October 28th and Friday, October 29th.

The Return to Tony's Taverna

On Saturday night, October 23rd, HASO once again invaded Tony's Taverna in Malibu. As usual, a good time was had by all, and when can you not especially when all the food you can scarf down, and all the music you can dance to, is all taken care of.

The Naked Lunch

On Saturday, October 16, our very own Fotis Kokotos put together a little Greek thing at the Naked Lunch Bar & Restaurant in smashing Beverly Hills. If you are into the European pop, Euro-Trance, & Latin dance favorites and like to enjoy it with other Greeks, then this was the place to be. The Naked Lunch is said to host a Greek night every month, and we'll spread the word when we hear it.
